Why that distinction matters
Most people selling you cloud phone service are referral agents. They introduce you to the provider, collect a commission, and disappear before anything gets plugged in. What happens next is called customer self-install, and it means exactly what it sounds like: you set it up.
For a five-person office with no analog devices, that is fine. For anyone with a fax line, a paging horn, a hunt group, or fifteen years of muscle memory about how calls get answered, it goes badly.
Certification is the difference between someone who sells you a phone system and someone who installs one.
What we handle
Account build and provisioning
Users, extensions, permissions, voicemail, directory. Set up once, correctly, instead of accumulating fixes for six months.
Number porting
We manage the port request, the losing carrier, the paperwork, and the cutover window. Your main line keeps ringing throughout.
Call flow design
Auto attendant, hunt groups, ring order, after-hours and holiday routing, overflow, voicemail-to-email. Built around how you actually answer the phone, not a default template.
Handset deployment
Phones arrive pre-provisioned and labelled by extension. We place them on existing drops, verify PoE, and confirm every station before we leave.
Analog and edge devices
Fax, paging, alarm dialers, elevator phones, credit card terminals, door strikes. We inventory them during the walkthrough and carry them across, or tell you honestly which ones need a different answer.
Staff training
A live session with the people who answer the phone every day, plus a one-page reference sheet they will actually keep at the desk.
Documentation and handoff
What sits on which extension, how the call flow routes, where the numbers live, who to call. So the next person is not reverse-engineering it.
On site or remote
Los Angeles County. We come out. Walkthrough before the quote, on site for cutover day, and back if something needs adjusting after your staff has lived with it a week.
Everywhere else. The build, the porting, and the training are all done remotely, and they are the parts that matter. Handsets ship pre-provisioned and labelled, so whoever plugs them in is matching a label to a desk. We are on a call during cutover, not sending a link.

What is quoted separately
Service is billed by the provider, per user, per month. Our installation work is a one-time project cost, quoted before anything is signed. You see both numbers together.
New cable runs and structured cabling are a separate trade with separate licensing, and we will say plainly whether your job needs them. If your drops and switching can carry the system, and most offices can, we will tell you that too, and it costs you nothing extra.
